Sessions & Club Nights

At Icarus Badminton Club, our weekly sessions offer a great mix of sociable and competitive play. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your skills, enjoy well-matched games, or just stay active in a friendly setting, our sessions provide the ideal environment.

Our club sessions are held every Wednesday at Hitchin Boys’ School Sports Centre. Here’s how our evening is structured:

We play for 49 weeks of the year, with just a short break over Christmas and one Wednesday off in the summer, depending on sports centre availability.

There’s no pegboard or formal rotation system – players organise games informally and courteously throughout the evening. If you wish to take a rest, you can opt out of a game.

Snap Sessions

Extra court time when you want it

In addition to our regular Wednesday club nights, we occasionally organise ad-hoc snap sessions—typically every couple of weeks. These informal sessions give members a chance to get extra court time, sharpen their skills, or just enjoy more badminton in a relaxed setting.

Snap sessions are optional, open to all members, and a great way to fit in a few extra games outside of the usual schedule.
