Leagues & Matches
In addition to our weekly club nights, many members represent Icarus in local league matches. We currently have mixed teams in the Stevenage and Letchworth leagues, and a men’s team in the Biggleswade league. Our mixed medley format features two men and two women per team.

How League Matches Work
League badminton follows similar rules to our regular club nights but in a more structured, competitive format.
Each fixture consists of six matches, with each match played as the best of three games. The season runs from September to May, and every team plays each other twice — once at home and once away.
These matches are a great way to challenge yourself, improve your game, and represent Icarus Badminton Club in the local leagues.
